The purpose of the Precision Drill Team is to encourage quality performance, academic standards, loyal school spirit, and high personal values among its members. Through the development of dance technique, leadership, cooperation, self-discipline and sportsmanship in each individual member, the Precision will fulfill this purpose for Pine Tree High School and the community of the Pine Tree Independent School District.
The Precision Dance Team is a year-round program with many fun and exciting opportunities. The Precision performs at high school football games during halftime and in the stands. They also perform at student pep rallies, community events, and the Longview Christmas parade. The Precision has an annual Spring Show that showcases several styles of dance and individual talents. The Precision also travels for special performances that include: Walt Disney World, the Cotton Bowl, Carnival Cruise Lines, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, and many more.
Tryouts for the Precision Drill Team are held in late Spring for the upcoming academic school year. Students may enroll in the Precision Prep Class offered at Pine Tree High School to prepare for Precision tryouts.
Being a member of the Pine Tree Precision is a great opportunity to learn responsibility, self-discipline, and being part of a team. The endurance, persistence, and fortitude the girls learn while on the Precision will serve them well as they meet the demands of their futures in college and beyond.
