Welcome to Pine Tree Fine Arts
The Fine Arts Department of PTISD proudly presents performing and visual arts. Students who attend Pine Tree ISD are afforded many opportunities to explore and refine their talents in the areas of visual arts, band, choir, dance, and theatre. The fine arts groups at Pine Tree have a continued tradition of high achievement in UIL activities and have received top awards across the State of Texas.

Note to Virtual Learners:
Students that choose to learn virtually must remain virtual until the end of a nine-week period. During this time students will not be allowed to compete in any extracurricular contests. When a student returns to in person learning they will become eligible for extracurricular activities after a ten day acclimation period. During this acclimation period a student may practice, but may not compete or perform. A student will not be able to perform or play at games until after the close of the tenth school day.

Lee Branson, Director of Fine ArtsLee Branson is from Longview, TX. He attended Kilgore College and The University of Texas at Tyler, participating in choir at both colleges while majoring in biology and minoring in music. He graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a B.S. in Biology.
Mr. Branson is secondary science composite certified and taught science for the past 17 years in Hallsville, TX. He also served as the Academic Coordinator for Hallsville I.S.D. for the past nine years where he led his team to two U.I.L. academic state championships (2014, 2016) and several top 5 finishes. While the director of U.I.L. at Hallsville, his team won ten straight district championships and eight of the past ten region championships. Lee Branson is married to Melissa Branson and has 3 sons, Dustin (27), Noah (21), and Lukas (15). His sons and wife all attended Pine Tree, and Lukas will be the final graduate of the PT class of 2022. Go Pirates!!! |
